Embracing Self-Care Beyond the Scale

“I’m currently 10kg below my ideal weight. Even though my health and eating habits weren’t great, I never really cared about gaining weight. I thought if I gained some weight, I’d just lose it again if I went back to my old eating habits, so I didn’t see a reason to gain weight.

But recently, I started thinking differently. I had a inner voice that told me

‘Yeah, I might lose weight easily, but does being healthy really mean having a certain weight? It’s more about giving my body the right kind of care and food. Why do I think I’ll reach a point and I’ll stop? This body is mine, and I should take good care of it with love and proper nourishment till end.’

So instead of focusing on a specific weight, I realized my body is precious, and I should treat it well for its health, not just to hit a particular number.”
