A week ago, I went to get a PAN card. It was 11 o’clock in the daytime, and the sun was very hot. I was upset with myself for picking such a bad time and waiting in the long line.
But when it was finally my turn, the computer system was busy, which made me annoyed. While I was scolding myself for choosing the wrong time, I decided to go to a nearby store to buy some juice.
When I took a sip, I found it too sweet for my liking, and I wanted to throw it away. But I felt guilty about wasting money, so I looked for someone who might want it.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anyone. On my way back home, I saw some city workers cleaning the road. I hesitated to offer them the juice because I was afraid they might get angry if they knew I had already sipped it. But I decided to give it a try.
“Excuse me, I bought this juice from the store, but I only had a small sip. Would you like it?” I asked.
Their response was really heartwarming.
“Thank you, thank you so much, dear. I’ve been cleaning these streets since morning, and I felt like I was going to pass out. You came to me like a miracle,” she said, even touching my feet.
This experience made me feel sad and showed me how lucky I am. I had been thinking about throwing away food when there are people who desperately need it and consider even a small part of what I have a blessing.
Since that day, I’ve been thankful for everything I have and stopped complaining.I’ve also become more mindful of the privileges I enjoy in my daily life, such as having access to food, shelter, and opportunities. It’s easy to take these things for granted, but I now understand that they are not guaranteed for everyone.
thank u god for an easy life💫🌟🙏🏼
